“Temporary calm, quiet, or stillness from life in a space”

Lull is a project based on providing a temporary low activity or tranquil time frame in a certain space. We believe after a long hard day everyone needs to unwind and rest to rejuvenate ones core energy. In our quest, we would like to project it onto building structures as well. The concept is to take a break from our man-made-techno-spherical constructs and move the mental state into a free innate and natural one. This is technically concretized by introducing a miniature forestry ecosystem inside the structure with calculated open flow of air circulation.

NXT CITY: COMPETITION

Lull is a project based on providing a temporary low activity or tranquil time frame in a certain space. We believe after a long hard day everyone needs to unwind and rest to rejuvenate ones core energy. In our quest, we would like to project it onto building structures as well.

Wellington destructor site has been a busy solid waste incineration facility that served a critical part of city service since 1925. Our team is re-imagining this historic site to reset and bring it back to its original sprouting environment - Nature.

The concept is to take a break from our man-made-techno-spherical constructs and move the mental state into a free innate and natural one. This is technically concretized by introducing a miniature forestry ecosystem inside the structure with calculated open flow of air circulation.

With the freshness of natural systems, we imagined a re-definition of the building experiential existence away from the notion of collection of waste. We have also integrated an indoor park and pop up market for the community.

This community can access the space for personal pleasure and entertainment while mentally and physically recharging away from all daily forms of stress.

The space provides arts and craft in the form of markets or events that can be sourced from skill sharing of the community.

Our purpose is to create a space for the surrounding community whose nature is based on the notion of revitalization. Life sometimes can be stressful and we all need the energizing break. We are building this break in our city.
